Where EXACTLY I can help you

Last month I talked about two VERY common leadership mistakes.

More specifically – I said that two common leadership mistakes are trying to lead without having explicit values – and trying to lead without trust.

And then – an overwhelming response that I got from you (my readers) was that you observe leaders everywhere “leading” without values – and leaders “leading” without building trust.

Unfortunately, this is a phenomenon that we witness more often than we would like.

These organizations with “leaders” without explicit values and trying to lead without trust – are usually struggling leaders.

Besides the fact that these people have a very hard time leading – in many cases they do more harm than good.

Many of you even ventured to ask me how you could possibly see values and trust manifested in the institutions around you – including the institutions where you work.

To answer this question – I could use elements from sociology, from economics, and even from politics – and I could offer you my thoughts about how to try to influence the organizations that you come in contact with.

Unfortunately this question – as many other questions that I usually receive – falls outside the realm of my expertise.

My area of proficiency focuses on what it is YOU must do – as the leader of the team you lead –in order to build a Sustainable HIGH Performance organization.

I laser focus on what it is YOU must do – to engage your employees with their work, to commit them to you (their boss), and to become a world-class leader at the same time.

I give you the tools – through this Leader Newsletter – that you need to use within the team you lead.

One of your most important areas of influence is with your direct reports – this is where you can realistically build a high performance team of supercharged performers – and this is exactly where I can help you.

I have always encouraged you to ask me questions – I am very pleased when I receive your questions – and I am always happy to answer them for you ...... as long as your questions fall within the neighborhood of my competence.

For example: questions related to team building, performance management and leadership development.

But questions related to change management, organizational structure, and process redesign are beyond my area of mastery.

Conclusion

What would you like to know more about creating – by conscious design – the culture of the team you lead?

What would you like to know more about engaging your direct reports with their work?
